Hi! I’m Brandi, wife and mother of one amazing daughter! Fitness originally started for me after college when I was no longer playing sports. I was afraid of weight gain and was determined to keep it off. On my 23rd birthday I lost my mother to melanoma skin cancer. This led me down a destructive path of using alcohol as a coping mechanism. Exercise is the only thing that kept me somewhat sane during the 4 years after her death. Fast forward 5 years after my mother’s death, I still had not dealt with the emotions of her death, but I continued to work out. I got to a point where I was tired of going to the gym without any goals outside of trying to maintain my weight. It was then I learned of bodybuilding and started my training to be a bodybuilding competitor.
Since then I have competed in 2 competitions in which I won my class and will continue to compete in the future. I also completed therapy to deal with childhood issues and loss and grief I had not dealt with. With all that occurred in the last 10 years of my life, I realized what helped the most was working on my physical and mental health. I learned I have a passion to help others do the same, and while I’m not a therapist, I can definitely help provide you with tools to help you be the best version of you!
